Teaching Inspirement Ideas



Study (Know) Ideas:
Read and underline what stands out to you
Read and write down your favorite quotes, thoughts and questions as you go
Listen to the book and write down what stands out to you
Find a quiet place
Keep what you need in a bin, box or backpack to take with you wherever you plan to study
Make a study schedule for yourself and stick to it

Teach (Understand) Ideas:
Write a paper about the main point(s) you got from the reading
Write a poem
Present a skit
Make a Prezi or PowerPoint presentation (use it to guide you as you present – don’t just read it the whole time)
Present ideas on the whiteboard
Make a posterboard representation of what you learned
Build something (Legos, popsicle sticks, Minecraft, cardboard, etc) you learned about or that represents what you learned about
Draw a picture that has to do with what you learned
Make a speech
Play a song that represents what you learned
Bring an object lesson
Cook something that represents what you learned
Write a song about what you learned
Compare what you learned from your readings to something else you learned earlier at Vanguard or in another setting. 
Draw a Graphic Summary (don’t forget to include the application to your life)

Serve (Become) Ideas:
Listen to the promptings you receive as you read or teach and follow through
Write down your promptings
Remember that usually the best place to practice is with your own family
